Sodium Silicate Plant:There are two processes for preparing water glass that are common this day. The first one is by reaction in liquid phase while the next one is by reaction in solid phase. However, alkaline and quartz sand are the same raw materials used in the two processes.1. Process with reaction in liquid phase: Caustic soda, quartz sand and water are mixed in a mixing tank, and then the mixture is fed into a reactor, where steam is introduced. The reactant is liquid water glass with its module lower than 3. The reaction is as following: nSiO2+2NaOH Na2O•nSiO2+H2O 2. Process with reaction in solid phase (thermal process) The feed materials in this process are sodium carbonate and quartz sand, or sodium sulfate and quartz sand. The feed materials are heated in a reflection furnace. The reaction is as following: Na2CO3 +XSiO2→(Na2O)•(SiO2)X + CO2 4Na2SO4 +2C +4SiO2→4Na2SiO3 +4SO2 +2CO2 The water glass produced by this thermal process can have modules depending on requirements for different applications.

Sodium Triphosphate(STPP) Production Equipment:STPP is one of the most important ingredients in detergent powder formulation. Its chemical formula is Na5P3O5. The STPP preparation process is composed of three steps: preparation of phosphoric acid from phosphate rocks, sodium pyrophosphate from neutralization of the acid, and finally the formation of STPP by condensation and polymerization of the sodium pyrophosphate. There are two processes now in common use for preparing STPP: 1. Wet process Converse ingredients in the phosphate rocks into their corresponding sulfuric salt and phosphoric salt. The liquid phosphoric acid is neutralized in next section into sodium pyrophosphate, then the phosphate to be condensed and polymerized into STPP. 2. The later is hydrated and polymerized into STPP.

| [SELL] Sodium Sulfate Plant [2008-07-24] |
There are two processes in sodium sulfate production.
1. Chemical process:
Feed sodium chloride (>97%) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4 >98%) into Mannheim furnace, and the reactant is sodium sulfate.
The first step is an exothermal reaction that can be carried out at lower temperature,
NaHSO4 is form first. While the second reaction is a strong endothermic reaction,
the reaction can be carried out only at 500°C to 600°C. The heat required
by the reaction is supplied by burning of gas in the burning chamber of the
furnace. The gas is generated by a coal gas generator. The temperature in the burning
chamber should be maintained around 1,200°C.
2. Extracted from glauberite rocks:
Crushed glauberite rocks are fed into a tank, and then are extracted by water. Remove impurities in the extract. The clean extract is evaporated and centrifuged. Finally this wet sodium sulfate is dried to obtain product sodium sulfate ... |
